Awadhesh Kumar Jha is one of India’s most influential figures in electric vehicle charging infrastructure. As Executive Director of GLIDA, he has been at the forefront of building a nationwide public charging network that accelerates EV adoption across cities and highways alike.

He helped launch India’s earliest fast-charging stations back in 2017, and under his leadership, GLIDA scaled to hundreds of stations serving tens of thousands of EV users. His work isn’t just about deploying chargers, it’s about shifting mindsets, shaping policy, and making electric mobility undeniable.

Before GLIDA, he spent years in government and energy sectors, including roles at the Ministry of Water Resources, where he gained deep experience in policy, project development, and cross-sector partnerships.
