Rajeev Chaba brings over three decades of global automotive leadership to India’s clean mobility shift. He led MG Motor India through its startup‑like early years, launching breakthrough models like Hector, ZS EV, Comet EV and Gloster, positioning the brand at the forefront of connected, shared, and electric vehicle innovation.

As CEO Emeritus, he helped steer the company’s transformation under JSW ownership, tripling production capacity and charting an ambitious roadmap of new products, with EVs poised to make up the majority of sales by 2028. He’s an advocate for localising critical technologies, promoting a taxation model based on environmental impact, and turning global partnerships into industrial reality.

Before MG, Rajeev held leadership roles at General Motors in India, China, North Africa and Egypt. He also served as Global COO at Vanguard Logistics, where he blended strategy with operations at scale. A graduate of IIM Bangalore, Rajeev is known for his ability to combine operational discipline with market-first innovation.
