Stefan Louis has been at the heart of India’s lithium-ion story, shaping the country’s battery manufacturing ecosystem long before it became mainstream. As Director at SIMMOL, he now leads efforts to build India’s domestic battery cell and pack production infrastructure from the ground up.

Before this, he served as CEO of Nexcharge, the joint venture between Leclanché and Exide, where he helped scale lithium-ion battery production to industrial levels tailored for Indian conditions. Stefan has always championed high standards in product development, pushing for global-quality cells made locally.
